Common Questions
A Sponsorship is a guaranteed placement letter from a reputed shipping company, given before your pre-sea training begins — whether you're pursuing DNS, BSc Nautical Science, or BTech Marine Engineering. It means a company has already selected you, securing your cadetship berth for the mandatory sea time that follows your academic course. DNS Sponsorship is our core focus and the most common route we coach for, but the same principle applies across all three pathways.
For DNS specifically: 1. 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), minimum 60% aggregate 2. Minimum 50% marks in English in either Class 10 or Class 12 3. Age 17 to 25 years at the time of course commencemen
Yes — and this applies across DNS, BSc, and BTech alike, since it's a DGS (Directorate General of Shipping) requirement for sea service generally, not specific to one academic route. Candidates must be physically fit for sea service as per DGS norms — including 6/6 eyesight in the better eye and no colour blindness — along with other standard medical fitness checks.
